Well I'm sad to report we're getting straight to the point today by virtue of my entire household following the lead of seminal metal band Disturbed and getting down with the sickness. So we press on! And various other buttons.
It's October!
You didn't think just because we've already met October that they weren't going to get a portrait, did you? Shame! Shame on you for underestimating my love for this kindly little friendo. They're also getting a comic, but as you can see that is, uhh, a little ways off yet. 🥴

Chaos Chess?
*Dramatic sting plays for additional irony*
Yes, I've submerged my head into the bobbing vat of Chaos Chess once more! And wouldn't you know it, it's actually getting somewhere now? My to-do list (whose length is directly proportional to that of a mid-perfomance accordion) no longer contains any bug fixes and consists only of 3 small quality of life features to add, followed by SFX, music and testing. Who knows, maybe I will actually finish one of the things I said I'd finish this year this year! 😮
For the sake of summary, my notes inform me that I fixed 8 major bugs (crashes, de-syncs, etc) and implemented 7 new features in the last two weeks. I will happily post the details to the discord for anyone who has trouble sleeping.
Enough text, here's a picture!
A lot of little doodles occurred over the last fortnight. Above is a very hastily-made portrait of my heroic*, courageous* and highly trustworthy* spooky RPG character Cyril 'Bones' Rattigan. And below are the two NOctober pictures I shared in Discord since the last update, those being the Dishonored RPG characters of ChrisArtsy's Veev (in the style of Arthur Wragg) and KiroSveta's Minerva (a la Ace Attorney).
Oh, and this guy.
Streams! They happen, don't they? Well, when my computer wants them to, that is. Evening streams see us puffing on the pipe of deluded profiler-sim Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (the 2023 remake), before trundling through spoopy Skyrim with friends in Elder Scrolls Online and doodling out our collective delirium on Sundays.
Morning streams have been largely devoted to the aforementioned October doodle, followed by a forthcoming strim Snip and a gaggle of pseudo-logos for the rapidly approaching avalanche of NOctober pictures (he says with extraordinary levels of optimism).
Besides this many other bits and bobs: Getting ideas together for end-of-year celebratory shenanigans, adding eyes to beginning-of-year Calendar comics, adding new !locked prompts, rejigging the stream carousel to accommodate an uncharacteristically boastful section showing off art I'm proud of, modding the dialogue of Final Fantasy VII by translating it into Dutch, completing commissions, organising new commissions, and generally forgetting what it was I'd been doing until I have to write these summaries.
Speaking of which, let's get on and do something worthy of the next summary! I would whip you all up into an excited icing over the potential for Chaos Chess being finished or major comic milestones being achieved, but you know how that always ends. 😅
Regardless your support is as ever highly appreciated, I literally could not be doing any of this without you all and I'm much more sincerely grateful for you than these words actually imply. My writing tone is mildly sarcastic, I know. I can't stop it. I've tried.
