Just One More Thing ~ Patreon Update #23 (04-11-2024)

Good golly is it November already? My, doesn't the year fly? Oh, November of 2024? The twenty-first century you say? Gosh I'm rather behind on all this newfangled 'time' you Gen Z kids keep getting. I'm clearly rather too brattish to be quite so on-fleek, alas.

Righto, that's quite enough dilly-dallying, time for the avalanche of new content! We begin with October's long-deserved and long-awaited month comic thingummie!

Marvellous, now that's out of the way, we can, uh... *rifles around pockets*... Just, one second... *Pulls out some lint*... I've got this... *Coins clatter to the floor*... I swear, there's, uh... *Several moths flutter from my shirt pocket*... Okay.

So it seems that this comic took the entire fortnight to do. I know, I was surprised too. My notes from the last two weeks consist almost entirely of October's comic, commission work and streams. Oh, to be a classic webcomic creator again when I didn't think 10 shading layers and fully detailed backgrounds were necessary. 😫

Still, that's what backlogs are for! Here are the next two doodles in the decreasingly-appropriately-named NOctober series. My apologies to anybody with eyes.

As mentioned I haven't really had the time nor wherewithal to work more on these, so there only remain one and a half awaiting in the backlog. I'll see what I can do in the coming weeks, but preparing for end-of-year shenanigans takes a certain level of priority. That priority derives of course from my distinct lack of control over the flow of time. Really should see if I can fix that. Maybe later.

Speaking of the forthcoming year-ending, you may have noticed some unfamiliar backs of heads in October's kitchenette above. These, perhaps unsurprisingly, belong to November and December and since it's the former's month hows abouts a more detailed (and more importantly more front-facing) view from a morning stream last week?

As you can tell, they're part menace, part trash, all heart, part arson. I haven't as-yet grasped a clear idea of their comic but on the flip-side I have written 16 comics about Tori and August being awkward. 😅

Strimming! By George and Mildred that's still happening. Having finished our descent into madness with Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, the never-ending Spooky Season began a brand new descent into a very real madness with the Dracula series. Yes, series. I was peer-pressured into playing more than one. I own five of them now. This world is devoid of justice and mercy.

Saturdays see us plundering the absolutely awful, no-good, death-tastrophe that is the Ashlands update in Valheim, before reclining back in our comfy doodle chairs for Sunday scribbles.

Morning strims are now devoted to the mayhem of November and whatever shenaniganry they have in store for us. We've been stockpiling silly prompts and ideas for the forthcoming year of morning streams once freed from the shackles of calendering, so look forward to February being chased by November and being forced to dress up like a punk.

And that's all Cthulhu wrote. This forthcoming fortnight will see me planning some fun secret times for you, my lovely supporters, alongside commission work, prepping end-of-year festivities, working on videos, games and learning to draw wheelchairs in perspective.

Thank you as ever for the wonderful support, it's most appreciated and is put to a wide variety of fantastic uses. Uses like food and, uh... water. Luxuries, you know.

Look after yourselves,

Crispy 💜
