Did you know it's almost March? Sorry, hello. I meant to say 'hello' there, not quite sure what overcame me just now. Perhaps it was the eddy of wind that swept my temple as the very concept of time inexorably sprinted past me. Yeah, that might be it.
Hey, do you remember January?
This is, I hope, the first in a little series of comics showing how each of the Calendars just sort of 'turned up' in the world and how they've made the most of it. Clearly January's got some working out to do. I'm sure they'll be fine. Eventually. Maybe. Might take a while.
As for other completed work, in preparation for the forthcoming Dead Island Highlights video, I thought it, if not high then pretty darn lofty, time to kick my behind into action and properly subtitle my scripted videos! And by that I mean that my brain didn't let me do much of anything else.
Regardless of cause, the effect is that the 'Googology 2: Polytopes' video is now solidly subtitled! And a good job it is too because I'm not keen on the idea that anyone watched that having to think the made-up crime-fighting duo of 'Camp Batshit Bob and Ratchet' existed, as the automatic subtitles vehemently professed.
As for things that haven't been fully dealt with but are in progress, have you ever heard about this thing called 'anxiety'? I know, I know, there's not much more to say that hasn't already been said, but a (hopefully) minor health concern has flared the anxiety back into full fiery fettle and it has rather cut swathes out of my work time this last two weeks. I don't mind telling you I'm pretty gosh-darned miffed at it. Neverthefewer, plans are afoot to take steps and hop over it this week, so we'll see how we fare! It all rather depends what my doctor says, we might be hopping afoot-first into a deeper pit, but we keep our toes crossed!
But to answer the question in the spirit that it was implied to have for pseudo-comedic misdirection purposes, my primary unfinished works consist of an almost-inked comic featuring the disaster pair of Tori and August meeting for the first time, as well as the aforementioned Dead Island highlight videos. Yes, that's right, videos, plural. It transpires that the rough edit ran to 48 minutes and, in my perhaps naive view that a compilation video probably shouldn't run much more over 20 minutes, it'll end up being split into 2 separate videos. Still that does mean the next release will get done faster! Theoretically ¬¬
Doodles for these highlights have been steadily churned through the machine that is our morning stream slots, few though they will be this week. Evening streams find me hopping off the newly sprung branches of Ori & The Will Of The Wisps and into the comforting jank-pile that shall be a Dark Souls II randomiser to soothe my scrunchified brow. Meanwhile our mine-plunges of Moria and doodlusional friend doodle strims shutter the weekend up all snug and secure.
So what can you expect from me this time next fortnight? Besides, of course, broken promises? These guess-work hypotheses tend to be a tad optimistic, don't they? 😅
Well the Tori & August comic ought to crash its way into Discord in the next couple of days. We're moving pretty solidly with the Dead Island highlights, so a blinkered optimist might forecast that. But primarily my focus for the next week or so will be on revving up my commissions, opening them up on Ko-fi, and generally giving them a nice lick of paint to let people know what they can ask for! So if monetary decision paralysis doesn't entirely shut down my central nervous system, watch this (and similar) space(s)!
Until then a hefty and hearty thank you ever so much for your enduring support! I'm rather hoping for fewer sleepless nights this round and thus greater time spent making the fun, silly nonsense you lovely folk presumably support me for. Frankly at this juncture, I have no idea what you support me for, I'm the least consistent person on Patreon. But that doesn't make me any less grateful.
