Right, here I hop, back in the saddle, all ready and raring to rev back up to speed and show all of my supporters that I'm more than capable of working in an adult, focused, professional manne-what? It's a bank holiday? Oh, cool, never mind then. *Wanders off*
Okay, okay, I'm here, and I have things to show you this time! Will wonders never cease? We begin by collectively gazing in awe at the commission that I finished last week. Not that it's something worth gazing in awe at itself, rather that I actually got around to finishing it. Albeit a month after I said I would.
I am rather pleased with how it all came out, although I think I'm going to limit my commissions to simpler fare for a couple of months just to cool off. 😅

Yep, they're still here, not out of my head yet. Far from it, I've been writing a bunch of comics and background lore and such for these gremlins. I've been fighting a little with the 'should' part of my brain. You know the one, the part that says 'They should have a plot', 'They should have a troubled, realistic relationship', 'They should have a gritty back-story with heartache and pain' blah, blah, and et cete-blah. In response to this I've been watching clips from the original Addams family sitcom and reminding myself that it never did them any harm.
Neverthefewer, I have unified a gaggle of significant, if previously disconnected, events in their lives all into a single (rather nasty) evening, so maybe that'll go somewhere as a longer comic? Maybe? I'll put it in the pile between White Coats and October Noir. For now we'll just have to make do with short, silly comics and heartwarming doodles.
Now if you're wondering who these characters are, don't worry, it's a common question. I attribute this to my typical assumption that every already knows my characters, as well as the fact that I have 158 of them. To remedy this I'm in the process of making a 'Height Chart' for all of my OCs on my website!
Less of a height chart than an OC database, herein you'll be able to browse through my unnecessarily large collection of gremlins - or search for one gremlin in particular - and learn all about them! The basic idea is up and running (alas on my computer, not online, so no fiddling about with it yet) with a scrolling chart, options to show/hide characters in different IPs, hyperlinks to other relevant characters and a way to sort by height, name, date of first appearance and a random order just for the heck of it.
It's still very much a work in progress, but progress is certainly being made. The first batch of OCs are mostly inked and just have colouring left to do, as well as fully fleshing out their little description boxes. If you have any suggestions for information you'd like to have added in there, do let me know!
Streaming is (approximately 4/7ths of the time) still occurring! I'm planning, for at least this week, to put morning streams on hold. Our typical morning fare of height chart doodles simply need colouring now and I think I'll have a nicer time doing so whilst chilling in Discord chat rather than standing in front of a microphone for another 6 hours a week. So chilling is what I'll do, gosh darneded it all! Just try and stop me! (Please don't)
Evening streams are still very much on the docket, with us lurching into the final mission of HITMAN 3 on Tuesday & Wednesday. Presumably after that I'll dip my toes into its roguelike Freelance Mode before moving to something new. Or perchance only playing that for the rest of my life, who knows?
Weekends find us once again plunging the depth in Return to Moria, as we get overwhelmed by orcs, underwhelmed by troll kings, and not particularly whelmed either way by a very elusive dragon. Sundays we grab our styli and doodle our hearts out, including a recent addition of 'Tidday', a little anatomy study thingie some of us are doing throughout May. I shan't post the less-clothed results here for those who are bashful about boobage, but it's all present in the discord for those who wish to look.
So, broken promises notwithstanding, what can you expect from me in the coming weeks? Well that bloody animatic isn't going to finish itself, despite my protestations. There's no strong reason that that shouldn't be done, dusted and delivered by the next update. There will, naturally, be more boyf content however I'd like to attempt to circle back and dig into the backlog of Calendar and Tori/August comics I've so heartlessly neglected. I shall also be feeling around for any possible small-scale commissions from folks, whilst getting myself ready for a new little ongoing project which I think people might find fun. Yes, another one. Trust me, this one makes sense. Kind of.
For now though, I should probably do one or more of those things. Boyfs, most likely. Thank you for your support, for whatever reason it originally was you pledged and got replaced with fictional boyfriends. I hope you're having a nice time and supporting me still makes sense. 😅
