L. O. M. B. B. ~ Supporter Update (08-12-2025)

Hi.

You see, I've heard that brevity is the soul of wit, and I've been wondering of late if perhaps, just maybe I waffle on too long since I have an observably shameful habit of listlessly scribbling these introductions in such an overly verbose and run-on manner when perhaps I need to take a few eggs out of the basket of famous wits of times gone by and stop faffing about and just getting to the point, because otherwise I could easily drop the proverbial pig-skin and chase away readers' interest, a result neither entirely productive or conducive to my professional ethos, hence why I considered long and hard, with not inconsiderable chocolate-fuelled efforts on my part, not to boast my own crumpet, about the sveltest and most punctuating form the opening of this otherwise rather waffly missive might take in the eyes of its readership, particularly given the sabotaged attention spans of those of us poisoned by fast-content and machine-gun subtitles and ready-fried short video forma-*Dies of asphyxiation*

We begin with the highlight of the update, namely, uh, highlights. Don't worry, they're only mildly cursed. It's Curse, Eye of Isis!

In an attempt to turn three and a half streams into a brief highlight reel, I rather stretched the definition of 'brief' to over 40 minutes. Thus it was cleft in twain, the first now fully forged and flown, with the second part, all being well, arriving before the new year. Until then enjoy meeses, raymans, fezzes and m'babies galore.

In the vein of video production, all footage has been captured for the making-of my festive cards. This, I think we can all agree, is largely because I finished making them. They're all written, ready to be checked, sealed, and posted over the next few days.

The video itself will likely arrive in the new year to give people time to receive the cards themselves. Further, much like our aforementioned l'sis, it shall arrive in two pieces albeit simultaneously. I'm not certain if such a process video would benefit or be hindered by an explanatory voice-over and so I've deigned to produce a version with and one without. That way you can make your own choices and I can pretend I made two videos instead of one-and-a-bit.

Since I can't show you the card, here are some pictures of Pickle. Picktures.

The last newsletter of the year has begun taking shape, that shape currently being a single comic strip. Since I enjoy giving single-word esoteric titles to my comics, I'm quite happy to tell you that it's entitled 'Wan' and leave you to speculate why.

I'll want to sit down at the end of the year. And while I'm doing that I'll likely mull over priorities for time. The newsletter in its current form is doing largely what I intended it to, but taking rather more of my time than anticipated. Where have I heard that one before? So while it shall continue in the new year, it may look a little different as I endeavour to find a more convivial balance.

I've also been trying to get my head down and finish commissions. The use of the verb 'trying' should tell you how well I succeeded, but one or two more days and my slate ought to be cleaner than a shy referee's whistle.

Since I can't show you any of the above, here're Jay and Kay and their long furby child. Kay's not certain he claims guardianship of it.

Streams? Yes!

Silksong is still steadily spinning on through, with one or two hiccups related largely to my stubbornness. I can beat everything with just the needle, trust me! *Dies*

We plough through ploughed fields of zombies in Dying Light, as well as the occasional fence and/or building. Those buggies are hard to control, give us a break. Fortunately we may rest our splinted injuries in the warming baths of Sunday friend doodles.

And that's all she wrote for the time being, and almost all she wrote for a whole year. One more update before we swap out calendars and correct ourselves from writing '25' for five or six months.

Thank you for you support! With any luck the next and final update will bring some nice end-of-year goodies, but otherwise just know I'm stocking up to knock your chunky-knit socks off at the calendar's end. Proverbially, that is. I have no interest in your actual footwear, thank you. Then again if you have a knitting pattern for them I might have a crack at that.

Look after yourselves!
