Tumultuous Buffeting ~ Supporter Update (26-01-2025)

The theory of 'Schroedinger's January' posits that, if one cannot directly perceive a calendar, then the month of January is simultaneously 94 days long and also 7 hours long. This phenomenon can be somewhat mitigated with strings of LED lights in an effect known as "Quantum Sunlight".

But until that all starts making sense, why don't we pop back in and see how young January and February are getting on? It's been a while, hasn't it?

Right, it's time to exploit the gap between two things you want to see and fill it up with uninteresting admin!

A lot of work this month has been getting forthcoming projects in-line: This month's newsletter is well on the way, with a comic at the ready, a written and portraitified OC spotlight, a gaggle of gags and a spontaneously rediscovered recommendation at the ready. The crimmus card printing video is all exported, uploaded and ready to go on either the 31st of January or when the last 30% of the cards that I sent out arrive, whichever is sooner (I'm assuming they're just lost at this point and I'm mad about it).

Other videos are in the works, with scripting work for a whole three videos getting tip-tapped, and some doodles made there-for. What follows ought to be a classic 'Twelve Things Wot I Drew' video in February, a highlight video in March, and the return of an old favourite in April.

Right, that's as much as you can take for now, here's a respite:

Okay quickly, let's wrap up the boring stuff: Commissions are moving along as steadily as life allows (life is being quite mean, but we soldier on). Not only am I actually doing commissions but I have also opened commissions on my Ko-fi page. Simply sketches, doodles and emotes for the moment, but as I get time to work on more examples and properly test timing, more complex tiers will open with aplomb. I have a holiday to save for and a drawing tablet to replace before it catches fire.

This fortnight's most glittering of shinies takes me back to programming a little randomly-generated dungeon crawler featuring my OCs. The fun for the moment is coming up with and implementing ideas for how my characters would fight in a much more granular sense than just "Stoic's a warrior, Mal's a thief, [etc]". I don't want to bore you with the details, so I took the details and smooshed them into the following unreadable picture:

Streams! 7 out of 8 of them are, indeed, happening.

Our primary game of Silksong really feels like it's about to wrap up soon, as it indeed has done for the past two months. But this time! This time...

Friend streams saw us dip our toes into a session 0 of Dark's dark fantasy RPG Grim Hollow, prepped and raring for short bursts of adventure through the year beginning in early March, as is the current plan. To fill the gap we have the Elden Ring """"Seamless"""" co-op mod which, uh... the less said about how that stream went the better.

Fortunately Sunday doodle streams with friends still exist to cheer us all up and send us into a blissful end-of-week snooze, ready to face the following week with as much gusto as SAD will allow.

What with everything that's buffeted my schedule this month I'm really rather behind on *gestures everywhere* so I'll have to bid you a pretty quick adieu. Thank you ever so much for your support! You can look forward to a new video, newsletter and a two-thirds dozen streams before my next missive.

Look after yourselves,
Crispy 💜
